Leslie Mann has top billing. Then Ike Barinholtz. Yeah, they are both funny...but John Cena STEALS this movie. STEALS. Pretty much this is the movie you expect as a raunchy comedy. It's funny and I laughed out loud a few times. Worth catching. 7/10

Really enjoyed this new comedy. I had really high expectations for it, especially after hearing all the positive buzz on it after SXSW and watching the hilarious trailers. However, if you are thinking about watching this movie, **DO NOT WATCH THE TRAILER/S** and go into this clean. You'll enjoy the movie and jokes much more. They really used up some of the best jokes and moments in the movie to make the trailers (which were epic) and getting those parts spoiled is not the best way to enjoy a new comedy.

This may look like a terrible movie but it's actually pretty good. It's funny and not all of it is stupid humor. The acting all around is great. John Cena is a standout here, I can see him having a real long comedy career. It has interesting and fleshed out characters and best of all it has a wonderful story with a good message. Kay Cannon has a winner for her directorial debut.

Funny at times but overall it's a bit disappointing really. It's hard to empathise with the message of a movie that's about how the parents have underestimated the maturity of their children, and need to give them some free reign. Meanwhile, the film keeps undermining this message. For example, at times we see one of these "mature" girls experimenting with drugs without really taking any time to consider what she's putting in her body or why.

The jokes are repeated throughout the film.The trailer is the summary of the best jokes; complet spoiler. The only scene that I liked is the one that John Cena is looking out the window and sees fucking the couple. Finally, when the girl tells her father that she is a lesbian, the father is surprised, instead of saying "I already knew". However, he says he already knew it.

I really enjoyed this comedy. Something different for a change.

Day 10:

High school movies tend to be one of my least favourite subgeners but even I can appreciate a well written comedy.

This isn't quite at the level of Superbad or booksmart but it does offer some laugh out loud moments and even plays of the heart strings a little by the end. Sure some jokes go on too long and parts of the finale can feel forced but overall this was surprisingly good.

Not the worst offense of the year, but nothing we haven't seen before. Only this time, thrown in some more lecturing and dated humor. The amount of vulgarity expressed in the movie is to be expected, and it will please some crowds just of how up-front it is, but it wears thin. The biggest compliment I can give Blockers is it really trudges ahead to make likable characters. Ike Barinholtz is a funny dude, Leslie Mann really tries her all, but whenever a "dramatic" moment was happening, I couldn't take it seriously. It's a comedy, yes, but the fake tears and arguments about gender politics just came across as hamfisted and :sleepy::zzz:. At least Kay Cannon has done her research about the internet. To all my 4chan anons reading this, there's a character in this movie named Chad, who wears a fedora, owns a samurai, and eats Cheetos.

I started watching this movie without knowing really what to expect and I was actually pretty surprised. It's really good. John Cena, Leslie Mann and Ike Barinholtz really did a great job, performance-wise! Fun movie. I recommend it.
