Great movie and the fact that all based on a real story makes me sick how unfair the world is :/

Another tale of American injustice, and the lack of care for anybody who looks and acts differently to 'the norm.' It's a true story, and one that will make your blood boil - or at least it should, assuming you are on the right side of what should be considered right and just in this world.

Worth a watch. Very disturbing theme, that leaves you thinking how unfair live can be.

This is a movie about two groups of assholes. It’s really hard to find a character you like in this movie but still the murder is horrific, and graphic. I can’t say it’s a great movie but you have to appreciate that they didn’t try to build the guy up to make into some saint. The story is real and gritty.

I remember hearing about this, and interestingly it was from the same speech by Marilyn Manson that bookends the movie.
Bomb City is told mostly in flashbacks to our groups: the punk, and the jocks. In between, we have parts of the trial: witness testimony, and remarks from the lawyers.
The camera work, and the lighting are very good. The acting is hit or miss... that coupled with the writing gave this more of a made-for-tv result. Where the movie suffers most is when it devotes time to peripheral details of the story. Obviously, the point of a film like this is to make to feel the weight of the events, but I never did. I never felt that sickening fear that our punks were in danger or being unfairly persecuted, specifically Brian. Likewise, I never felt enough antipathy for the jocks, mainly Cody. I never bought that a shouting match at an ice cream shop, and assault with a glass bottle would lead to vehicular manslaughter.
I think there is an important story here, but it was not told well.

So unfair and sad..Really good movie with great perfomances..7.6/10

Sinopsis Film:
Diangkat dari kisah nyata, pada tahun 1997, meledak sebuah kerusuhan antara anggota geng Punk dengan para atlet di kota Amarillo Texas. Perkelahian terjadi di banyak tempat seperti tempat parkir, gedung olahraga dan lainnya. Para pelaku kerusuhan membawa senjata seperti rantai bandul dan beberapa senjata lainnya.

Awal mula perkelahian hanya masalah sepele. Hal itu hanyalah masalah prinsip saja. Para atlet melihat bahwa anak punk hanyalah mengganggu kota saja sementara para anggota punk melihat pemerintah tidak adil hanya memprioritaskan pada atlet saja padahal mereka juga warga negara.

Brian (diperankan oleh Dave Davis) baru pulang dari New York ke kota kecil tersebut. Ia mampir di sebuah gudang tempat beberapa teman anak punknya berada. Saat itulah beberapa atlet dari universitas datang. Awalnya hanya bercanda dan berujung pada keributan.

Malam harinya, Brian dan anggota geng minum kopi di kedai Mr. Frosty. Disana sudah ada beberapa anggota atlet sepakbola dan bisbol karena kedai itu memang tempat kumpul mereka. Terjadilah saling ejek dan besoknya kerusuhan menjalar di seluruh kota Amarillo Texas yang mana menyebabkan Brian terbunuh.

Hard hitting tragic story. The cinematography is on point, really trying to find the beauty in a down a down and out community. It goes to good lengths to paint both sides as ugly as they should be, they don't sucker you in with cheap tricks to make you feel more towards the punks which I appreciate. A great snapshot in just how unjust it all is.
