Henry, an English writer who has written a new book that has become a failure in the U.K, gets notified that the dull book has been highly trending over in Mexico. Little does he know that Maria, a Spanish translator, turned the book into an erotic novel. Henry and Maria then swerve around Mexico to do a book tour and go through a wind of events.

If you threw in a fat man and a christmas tree this movie would fit right in with the 30 Hallmark Holiday movies that are made every year (and that's not a compliment). The leads are likeable enough but there just didn't seem to be enough chemistry to justify the tension between them. I know Hollywood is used to doing things like this, but is super disrespectful that a spanish actress is playing a mexican. Specially, if the whole movie was full of stereotypes (They went across states driving a VW on several DIRT ROADS. I saw goats and a dunkey before a highway.) Horacio Villalobos tried to save this dumpster fire; I love him, he was great. But this movie as a comedy, wasn't funny. As a romance, lukewarm at best.

Chick-flick with a typical chick-flick ending.... does no one have any imagination?!!!! Nothing original here.. couple of laughs near the beginning and that's it. Way too many subtitles.. I know the movie is about a book, but I don't need to read the movie's dialogue to watch it!!! 4.5/10
