I didn't enjoy this film as much as the previous films in the Child's play franchise. It was a decent horror comedy, but not a film I would watch again.

Jennifer Tilly is the Bride of Chucky in this post-modern horror revival of the Child's Play series. In this chapter the former girlfriend of serial killer Charles Lee Ray, Tiffany, rebuilds and re-ensouls Chucky, who then transfers her soul into a doll. Co-starring Katherine Heigl, Alexis Arquette, and John Ritter, the casting isn't that bad; but their performances aren't very good. However, Tilly's charisma carries the film and gives new life to the series with her character of Tiffany. Additionally, the comedy really plays up the silliness and camp, which works rather well. Still, while this change in direction is refreshing and fun, Bride of Chucky is not a good movie.

I love that they just turned this into a totally self aware comedy. The whole concept of a killer doll is absurd so might as well embrace that and make it funny. Adding Tiffany was a great idea and boy is that ending something.

This is where the series switches gears to full out satire. And for the most part, it works brilliantly for me. Pretty much all the ingredients just came together perfectly. A couple corny jokes aside, the humor is fantastic, and only makes sense at this point in the franchise. Love all the little tongue-in-cheek nods and cameos.

>[Chucky] *"What would Martha Stewart say?"*
[Tiffany] *"Fuck Martha Stewart. Martha Stewart can kiss my shiny plastic butt."*

It's 98 but this definitely feels like a 2000's campy horror comedy with the aesthetics and the punk-rock/metal music. It goes full on satire from here and Jennifer Tilly as Tiffany is just magic, Dourif and Tilly's voices compliment each other and so does their funny dialogue. The comedy is great and so are the horror elements we get some really cool and inventive kills once again, my favorite was the waterbed. The story is super simple but what keeps it going is Chucky and Tiffany's relationship, it gives more layers to the characters and it's just entertaining. The ending was wild! **Bride of Chucky** is completely different from it's predecessors but it revamps the franchise, giving it energy for the sequels.
