I thought that this was an excellent sequel to the original Frankenstein. The story was very interesting and entertaining, just like the original film. I actually think this film is better than it's predecessor. There were a lot of briliant scenes, I thought the scene in which Frankenstein becomes friends with a blind man who lives alone in the forrest was beautiful. The ending scene was great as well, after Henry Frankenstein and his wife escape from the tower in which he created the monster, the monster destroyes the building and kills everyone in it (including the bride).

Wow, I don't know about this one. I was recently a little disappointed by my Frankenstein rewatch, and Bride did not address any of the flaws I saw in the original. Indeed, this seems to be the prototype of an IP cash grab that now dominates our modern landscape. A series of implausibilities allows a retcon of the original (turns out, nobody died) and a sequel that hits all the same notes in all the same ways. I was disappointed by this.

I felt like this movie had no reason to be. The bride is there for a very short amount of time and the rest of the time is just people moving places. They humanized the monster just for him to not grow from it by the end of the movie

i enjoyed this very much. the bride not showing up until quite late in the film was a bit annoying, but the monsters character and the development and the learning to speak, i think this was way more fun and cool than the original.

Wow...what a choice, to have the bride show up in the last ten minutes and then have the monster blow everybody up with a "we should be dead!"

Watching this movie in theaters in the 30s must have been incredible!

I didn't know the titled bride was going to be in it for only ten minutes! But I can't say I was disappointed. The build up to it was good.

The third film of Peacock's history of slasher/ curated by Jamie Lee Curtis collection. Wow, how do you improve a great first movie? Add a girl boss to it! Both lead women are great! Also for a movie that isn't based on a book or anything it's damn good! Love the set pieces and locations like the lab or the top of the castle.

The scene with the blind man is hard to take after the parody Young Frankenstein. But there are great scenes in this movie.

The Frankenstein story continues in The Bride of Frankenstein. The series gets a little meta as the storyteller joins the story with Mary Shelley revealing a horrifying second chapter to her tale; where Frankenstein’s colleague, Dr. Pretorius, blackmails him into continuing his experiments to create life by making a mate for the Monster. The film does a fairly good job at continuing the story, thought the plot’s a bit thin and there are some continuity issues. But once again the film is able to deliver some iconic and powerful scenes, and continues to address controversial topics. The Bride of Frankenstein is a well-crafted and suspenseful tale of horror that has become a masterpiece.

It's a lot of the same of the first one but with bigger ideas. Not sure I want a monster that can talk but it makes him more of a sympathetic character.

If you simply watch the movie and don’t worry about the source material or take the movie too seriously, it’s more entertaining than the original. It’s not really horror as much as comedy though.
In the scene where the hunters find the monster in the home of the blind man, they yell that it's the monster created by Frankenstein, yet prior to this no one knew that Frankenstein was the one that created the monster.
I had higher expectations for this one. It’s kind of a satirical take on the original Frankenstein film, which could have been great with a bit more ambition, but the whole thing falls flat by being a rather dull retread of the original’s basic story line. Still somewhat worth watching for it’s visuals and the deliciously campy portrayal of the bride in the final act.
