I loved this film. Heartwarming, funny and emotional, this movie is full of charming innocence which is supported by loads of creativity. The narrative twists and turns hook you in and although the Brigsby Bear scenes may seem strange at the start, you’ll soon fall in love with them as the main character’s (James) story is told.

It also must be mentioned that this film takes a fantastic approach to filmmaking or creativity in general. It is ultimately true that people are inspired to create films or their own works of art from things that mean the most to them (to James it’s Brigsby Bear) and everyone has creativity to pursue things that inspire them. Although the outcome may be scary or terrifying to see, once it happens it is one of the best feelings in the world. And that’s this film.

Haha think whatever you want about me, but for me, it is best movie of 2017. So funny and entertaining. Also keep in mind I'm hikikomori And don't understand society at all and this movie is about that not all people are ... Vile ... So maybe one day I could get out and interact with someone ... Ugh

Such a beautiful movie! I've heard highly of it and I still couldn't have been prepared to the beauty. Such a fantastic script, idea and execution. There is honesty on the storytelling. I can't believe this hasn't become and instant classic, I hope time does it justice, because this deserves much more attention.

Level "Excellent" • 8 :heart: • Recommended.

This film is super quirky... yet it's really not at the same time. The initial premise is extremely promising, but once our protagonist enters the "real world" the movie loses a lot of it's uniqueness and turns into a more standard coming-of-age/coming-out-of-your-shell film. What keeps this film from falling completely flat is the tremendous cast supporting Kyle Mooney's character. The film finishes on a bit too much of a saccharine sweet note for me, but isn't too out of line with the trajectory of the film. I still think more could have been done with this premise, but as it is, it's still a fine film.

It's easy to become a little jaded when you watch as many films as I do. Even this week, I have sat through a lot of crap - Meet the Blacks being the pinnacle. So its a nice surprise when a movie I know very little about comes along and satisfies my weary heart - hello Brigsby Bear. I don't think it's a perfect movie - what is? (not you Meet the Blacks) - but it has a quirky charm that makes it stand out from regular cinema fare, be they good or bad. Kudos to the writers for this off the wall treat - it won't win any awards, but knowing that many people will gel with this offbeat gem may be reward in itself for the creative folks behind the film.

Un film che mescola dramma e commedia, con una regia assolutamente interessante, non inutilmente diluito in ore e ore. Bello il fatto che gli unici antagonisti, Ted e April, de facto non siano trattati come tali mai, neppure dal protagonista che alla fine si rivolge a loro per la voce del suo Brigsby Bear movie.
