So refreshing movie and I felt SEEN by EVERYTHING

Such a cute movie. Went with a group of friends and we all came out emotional. It's a movie that is both funny and sweet with depictions of real life for many of us.

This was bad, I could only get in 10 mins. Billy Eichner is not a good actor.. if you'd even call it that.

Not nearly as much of a “comedy” as I hoped it would be. Very much a “romantic comedy”, which is not my thing as is. It’s a well made, predictable, often funny romantic comedy. I’m sure a bunch of people will really like this one!

Me and my boyfriend loved it, finally feel seen!!

Wanted this to be more fun but really it was mediocre at best. Very upper middle-class cis white gay perspective. I'm not a fan of Billy, I never have been; I don't think yelling qualifies as neither acting nor a personality trait. Apparently Hollywood disagrees.

Willing to give this a try because GAY and it wasn't the worst thing but had a lot of issues with it. The story felt disjointed, the chemistry was just not there for me, a lot of jokes didn't land, and a lot of the conflict seemed forced.

I don't think every piece of queer media needs to redefine the genre or be a masterpiece, but so much of what I've seen by middle-aged white cis gays falls anywhere from boring to embarrassing. This movie could've pushed harder on exploring internalized homophobia and toxic masculinity and maybe done something interesting, but it fell far short of something raw and honest.

I don't think I'll be re-watching but I have sat through a lot worse than this. It had it's moments of entertainment and the story itself was follow-able and had a lot of energy. Not bad, not great. I also wasn't the market that the movie was made for but it got recommended so it was not a bad watch.

I found this movie honestly quite boring and that Bobby was very annoying to watch. Constantly yelling at people and the self deprecation was off-putting. He kept looking for reasons why Aaron wouldn't actually be into him even though they were both fine being in an open-ish relationship. Like if Aaron didn't like you why would he even bother with you. I honestly think if Bobby wasn't so intolerable then this movie could have actually been good.

I would recommend going into this movie without watching the trailer and knowing as little as possible about the behind the scenes drama surrounding the show.

As a rom com, it was alright. The comedy was strong but so many of its best lines were already featured in the trailer. Billy is a lot and not for everyone but he's not wrong.

Planning to re-watch in 12 months to properly judge the film on its own merits.
