I suppose it was too much to hope for, that the third installment would be any better than the first two. While I actually enjoyed (most of) the second one, this one was absolutely awful. Words fail me....I should have known from the absolutely atrocious way she "fell" so carefully on the sidewalk (at the 00:20:05 mark; watch closely and you'll see how, even after such a gentle "fall" she has the good graces to brush away any dirt that might've got on her clothes) that this Donna D'Errico chick was eye candy and ONLY that. Couldn't act to save her life, but at least she can claim she wasn't alone in this film. Apart from Wade Williams ("Bellick" from the TV series _Prison Break_ ) there wasn't a single compelling character in this entire steaming pile. That includes Tony Todd, whose character is as one-dimensional, monotonous, and uninspiring as any I've ever had the misfortune of watching. Rather than being a "continued" franchise that builds on each existing story, thus far the _Candyman_ franchise has been NOTHING (this one included) except a rehashing of the original story...just in different locales. The Candyman's song-and-dance routine never changes, either; from the very first film it's _"Be my victim. We will live forever on the lips and in the whispers of everyone who fears us..."_ and yet, none of his prior victims have made it to a sequel. So here, ladies and germs, you have nothing more than a tired old script that was uninteresting and shallow to begin with, and no one has done anything new with it. Surprisingly, even the gore and splatter effect was hardly changed; the only thing this one had going that seemed any different was a lot more nudity. If you get off on seeing bare boobs, this'll probably get your rocks off. But as a story, this just flat out sucked…and so did everything else. Avoid this one.
