Al Capone Coughs. Groans. Shits the bed. Coughs. Groans.

What a waste of Tom Hardy's talent. What a waste of Kyle MacLachlan's talent. What a waste of a beautiful cinematography.

This could have been way better. All the components were there. But this just doesn't work.

Skip it - was intrigued with the idea of the movie but this fell short.

I read so many negative things about this movie before watching it that my expectations were really low. I did not find it boring, for what it's worth. I understood what were the director's intentions. I think people were expecting something like The Untouchables.

I don't know what Tom Hardy is doing wasting his time with this crap. It's boring and gross.

I loved it. I thought it portrayed dementia very well. So much so that the viewer is never really sure which parts are memories and which are hallucinations until practically the very end.

They have Tom Hardy in so much makeup he looks like he’s wearing someone else’s skin over his own. I assumed they had aged him up so they could show him looking normal in flashbacks- nope. They really spent the whole movie following around a pooping, groaning, dementia patient.

This is final days of a difficult man... Its scary to loose your mind, to see things, hurt your family etc... Its a extremely scary movie if u shut the fuck up, and let your self dive in to the movie... But most of u want a gunshots explosions etc... no.. this movie offers a kid with a balloon and a platypus!!!!

I love me some Tom Hardy. However, he doesn't even look like Al Capone! I think I'll pass on this one. The ratings aren't high enough for me. :flushed:

I paused the movie after 15 minutes because I just couldn’t believe this is a real film. Hair and makeup looks horrible.

Tom Hardy is not fit for the role of Al Capone, he's not a convincing Italian. His performance is so over the top, so cartoonish, it's just straight up uncomfortable to watch. He has this terrible accent that was apparently based on Bugs Bunny. Such an absurd performance that if Tom Hardy wasn’t Tom Hardy this could be a career ending performance. And I totally get why they cast him with the severe shortage of overweight, balding actors who actually can speak Italian.

It's a novel choice to focus on what was the least eventful and iconic year of Capone's life, and to not adhere to traditional biopic cliches, but the charm of that decision stops at the decision itself. If you want to tell a story about dementia, I'm sure there are better ways to do it.
