I loved this! Had never seen it before tonight. It's really great. All three segments are awesome and the practical effects are good too. It may not be much of a horror, but it's pretty thrilling. And look, I hate cats. I am not a cat fan. But this lead cat is one helluva actor. Top notch cat acting.

The true star of this film was the cat. He had to dodge dangerous traffic, outrun rabid Cujo, outwit a stabbing gnome, was caged in a shelter, and withstood electric shock therapy. He rode in cars, trucks, ferries and trains, travelling in carriers a box. And was somehow guided by its spectral communication with a mannequin and a TV. And they named the movie for his perspective - but he wasn't even credited?? That cat should sue.

So Good
I've loved these
Stories right from when
this got released and I
must say it's aged very
well.
I had a great time
having a rewatch and
found myself laughing
all the way through,
(apart from the
Cat scenes of people
being horrible to
General, I'm a Cat person
with a few myself).
Other than that,
Their are still plenty
of laughs to be had
especially the first
story, that had me
rolling, it's hilarious.
the second story is
the least interesting one
but it's also the shortest
so it doesn't overstay it's
welcome and the third is
The best with
practical effects and a
fitting conclusion,
with the star power of
a young Drew Barrymore.

A horror anthology film that isn't particularly scary but has its moments. The middle story with Robert Hays making his way around a building on the ledge is the stand out for me. An early example of the "Castle Rock" theory of all the Stephen King stories happening in one universe. Cujo, Christine and others are all referenced in the film early on.

A bizarre horror-comedy from Stephen King, Cat’s Eye is uneven and poorly crafted. This anthology of tales follows an aversion therapy clinic that uses mafia tactics, a sadistic millionaire who makes an unusual wager, and a child who’s being stalked by a troll. Each segment has a different tone, and the troll story feels especially out of place. Additionally, the through-line connecting the various stories is tenuous and weak. However, the casting is rather interesting, and features James Woods, Robert Hays, and Drew Barrymore. Yet as bad as the film is (and it is bad), Cat’s Eye is mildly entertaining and has its moments.

A fun harmless horror anthology with a ton of not-so-hidden references to other Stephen King works. All three stories contain elements of absurdity to it and the cat does an amazing job linking all these stories together. The quitting smoking one is a great tale of addiction and paranoia. Probably the best out of three. It's so satirical, surreal, and over-the-top in the best way with James Woods giving a terrific and funny performance. The gambling one feels like your typical 80s suspense film. It's very simple and constantly playing with your fear of heights. Though I feel like it could've been more suspenseful, it's still a solid segment. The third one is a cute before to bed type of story and features surprisingly well-made practical effects. As far as horror anthologies go, this is surprisingly decent and fairly consistent.
