Due to a tragic shooting, veteran detective Quentin Conners (Jason Statham) is suspended from the force but when a bank robber Lorenz (Wesley Snipes) and his group take hostages, he will only speak to Conners. Conners teams up with rookie Shane Dekker (Ryan Phillippe).

This is less of an action movie and more of a thriller. I am a big bank heist thriller fan, so maybe I am a little biased with liking this film more than I should. It has some interesting dialogue, but the twists are thrown at you more than I wish to admit. It tried to be too clever for his own good which is where it stops it being a good film for me.

Jason Statham is good in this movie and is nothing new for him. Wesley Snipes makes for a great villain, and I can't go wrong with Snipes. While not his best, he is still good. Ryan Phillippes was ok, but would it hurt him to crack a smile one in a while. He is less charismatic than the other 2, maybe that was by design, but I just didn't find him very interesting.

With the many twists and turns, it's a film you have to paying attention to otherwise you will miss it and gives the viewers pieces of a puzzle to put together. I did enjoy the twist at the end and was one I did not see coming.

The entertainment was solid enough for me that I enjoyed this movie. 6/10.
