Apart from the striking location, there was very little that elevated this above standard teen horror films. There was some good moments of tension throughout the film but on the whole it was largely predictable and forgettable.

This could have been so much better.

when i heard they were making a Chernobyl movie i got really excited...
I think its one of the creepiest places to make a horror movie.
As soon as i was able to watch it i got extremely disappointed.
Maybe its because i expected so much from this movie :(

I'm not a horror guy but it seemed like the basic horror movie. Not especially poor.

One and a half hour of...nothing. Idiotic script with bad acting, but I suspect the actors didn't have all that much to work with in the first place.

The only redeeming factor this piece of crap has is Pripyat. Very nicely done when scouting for locations.

Blair Witch Project, The Walking Dead and The Last of Us - the no budget tri-blend, crap script parody. Good for a chuckle and a brief distraction.
3/10 - for the consistent heavy breathing, the retro Nokia and the radioactive bear.

It passed the time while running on the treadmill. A pretty generic mutant freak movie.

Thrill-seeking tourists embark on an "extreme sightseeing" trek inside Pripyat, a long-abandoned suburb overlooking the ruins of Chernobyl. As appropriately spooky locales go, there's no denying the originality and authenticity of this one. We've all probably seen photo galleries of the city floating around the internet, and if there's a creepier place on the planet, I haven't been notified. In addition to being disturbing in dozens of ways, Pripyat is also monumentally photogenic, which makes it all the more disappointing that it's been wasted on a generic, by-the-numbers taste of scream fodder such as this.

Poorly acted (if I'm being generous), with a series of random, unrelated threats that may have been picked straight from a grab bag of overdone horror movie clichés, the vast majority of the action is fueled by small bands of survivors shuffling through the darkness in search of comrades they already know to be dead meat. Surely they're down here, at the bottom of the latest in a long line of steep, grimy industrial staircases!

Horrible acting all around.
Past the city sign there is not a single second of footage in this film that is actually from Pripyat and the famous themepark location with the bumber cars and the ferris wheel is recreated very badly.
Plot is bad execution is even worse.

It has been well. I did not like it very much, but it's good for to hang out.

This reminded me of Blair witch project.. I usually don't watch horror movies, as I don't like bloody and "in your face" scary scenes. But this was not the usual horror movie. Suspense of unknown. Quite liked it, I was on edge. Movie doesn't have a happy ending, but this time I guess it's ok.

This is so bad. The only reason it gets a star from me is because it appears that it may have been shot in Pripyat. But I don't even want to take the time to check and see if it was. Any time taken to research this pile of crap is too much.
