This was a very good documentary. We have all seen movies, and video games that reference Chernobyl, but I never knew much about it. This was very educational, and also gives you a look at the political system that was in place of the time this all happened.

But only 3 hearts for the whole thing, +2 hearts for previously unpublished recordings (probably true).

Justification:
A film made in the style of UFO or Atlantis material.

Lots of statements by random people, zero statements by professionals who know what they are talking about. If a person happens to be a nuclear engineer, for example, he answers a question from a completely different field. The USSR hasn't existed for over 30 years and you could easily ask doctors, firefighters or members of the Chernobyl Civil Defense. They are no longer bound by confidentiality!

ZERO (literally) documents to support the theses presented, ZERO lists of names of "liquidators" of whom reportedly 80% died within a year of the disaster.

Factually, it is one big bullshit, on par with the propaganda of the USSR, or... tabloids.

“In the Soviet Union, the relationship with the truth was complicated.”

A super interesting look at the disaster through the eyes of the media back then. I believe it’s a wonderful documentary that will still leave you in shock no matter how much of the accident you already know.
