One of my all time favourite musicals. I love the cast, the songs, the glitter and the theme!

I put it off for long enough, and even after all this time, this still works. It's a fun musical, with some wicked dark humor and leads that are soo unlikeable you're surprised at how invested you end up in them. Maybe it's just because of the catchy numbers...

Murder, sex, and all...that...JAZZ!

“In this town, murder's a form of entertainment.”

Zeta-Jones and Zellweger absolutely killed it (no pun intended), and Richard Gere is outrageously charming as Billy Flynne. John C. Reilly brings an unexpected touch of pathos to this splendiferous black comedy/satire/musical extravaganza.

"Mmm, I'm a star!
And the audience loves me!
And I love them
And they love me for lovin' them
And I love them for lovin' me
And we love each other
And that's cause none of us got enough love in our childhoods
And that's showbiz... kid."

Renée Zellweger and that musical sequence were mesmerizing to watch. Catherine Zeta-Jones, Richard Gere, Queen Latifah, and John C. Reilly were also terrific and each brought their unique style to the character's musical moments.

Well-executed translation of the musical. I admired the way they used Taye Diggs to integrate the songs into the film. Great editing, and a solid performance by Richard Gere. The two leads–eh, I would have gone with someone else.
