Set in a village right after the Korean War, poor but good-hearted Heo Sam-gwan sets out to win the most beautiful girl in the village, Heo Ok-ran, by selling his blood to earn money. Years later, the two are happily married with three children, but their family undergoes a crisis when Sam-gwan's eldest son doesn't resemble him and rumors spread about the boy's paternity.

What an outstanding tale with a slight comedic love story wrapped into happy moments full with topics about social status, social economy, life lessons and a sweetheart ending that was quite the defined  journey for this family. A beautiful must watch film.

ما عجبني الفلم عالاخر، كالعادة انغشيت بالبوستر وافتكرت يكون كوميدي حتى لو فيه وشوي بس ما ضحكوني، ما صدقت يخلص،حتى لو انه هادف ، بعرفش شوفته ضيع وقتي، وبيستاهلش ينشاف، من الأفلام اللي بتخسرش لو مشوفتش، حتى لو انه قصة جديدة، بأنه واحد بيبيع دمه عشان المصاري ويتجوز هالصبية وبالاخر يكون الابن اللي بفم مش ابنه، ابن عشيق مرته ويبلش يعاقب مرته والابن.. ممل وزنخ وبايخ، يمكن لان بحبش الهادفة والنهايات السعيدة والاطفال
