A classic story told in a grand scale thanks to Kenneth Branagh's lavish and colorful live action adaptation. This is old school romance, where a girl meets her prince charming. Lily James is the perfect Cinderella, but it is Cate Blanchett as the wicked stepmother who steals the show. Along with awe-inspiring sets and costumes, this Disney fairytale should restore faith in the child in all of us and in fairytales themselves.

While I am not really a fan of the Cinderella story line, the movie was visually stunning and had (mostly) great acting. I liked it more than the 1950's Disney movie.

I didn't expect much from the movie, but I was pleasantly surprised. It catches your attention and I thought it was a very good adaptation. Helena Bonham Carter was simply amazing.

For me, Helena Bonham Carter was the star of this movie; even though her character didn't get that much screen time, she made an unconventional fairy godmother. Other than that, the movie seemed rather bland to me. The music was pretty good and the scenery was breathtaking at times, but it was nothing more than just an adaptation of the well known animated movie. I wish we got to see more of Cate Blanchett's stepmother, explore her past and see why she became the way she was. In overall, I guess I liked 'Maleficent' much better.

A fabulous re-telling of the classic Cinderella fairy tale. Most things are kept the same which I like, as it is perfect the way it is. Adore the dress and graphically the film is beautiful. Lily James makes the perfect Cinderella. Remember have courage and be kind.

They were successful in their attempt to make everything about this story fresh: the acting, the costumes, the scenery, the production in general. Except for the story. That, they made quite stupid

very pleasantly surprised by this one. while it wasn't a perfect 10 of a movie, it was still a really nice, simple, touching movie, with good acting. and bonus; it was made in 2015, just before all this woke mess started really kicking in, and it shows, by being a much higher quality film.

This is my favorite Disney live action. In my opinion, it was the only one that remained true to the animation movie, while adapting some outdated things that no longer fit our generation, without losing the magic and enchantment of fairy tales. The chemistry of the protagonists is amazing, and they convey to be a perfect fit. The story is well adapted for today's audience, without getting lost in other stereotypes in the name of a shallow “deconstruction”. The costumes are a work of art, the cast is beautiful, the stepmother's steals the show near the end of the movie. Only the original songs were missing, but for me, it was a single remake to be as perfect as it could be with all the quality and magic of Disney. Amazing movie!!

An improvement on Disney's past attempt from 1950.

I do like the animated version from the studio, but this 2015 release of 'Cinderella' makes for a more enjoyable experience in my eyes. Lily James and Richard Madden are smart choices to play Cinderella and Prince, while Cate Blanchett is impressive as the Stepmother. Helena Bonham Carter (Fairy Godmother), Stellan Skarsgård (Grand Duke) and Nonso Anozie (Captain) are also noteworthy.

The premise has a few changes, the ending plays out slightly differently compared to the '50 production - to positive effect. It also makes the nastiness of Blanchett's character unmistakably clear, I actually felt hatred for her - which wasn't the case, at least to the same extent, with the original.

Good viewing.
