1'000'000 Megabyte `:-D`
(nearly 1 Terabyte) at that time, not even the **NASA** knew the term for this enormous amount of data, which data cabinets would probably had filled an entire ==space shuttle== °!° let alone be installed in a human robot `=D`

Low budget Terminator in a high school setting. Rather horrible acting, not very impressive story, not that impressive effects, BUT...still manages to be somewhat entertaining. Other than the school setting, it hasn't got much in common with its predecessor, Class of 1984, but that doesn't really matter all that much. Class of 1999 is entertaining enough, but don't seek it out if you're not especially interested in the low-budget sci-fi segment from the 80s and 90s.

Really entertaining sometimes. Silly but it knows it. I was suprise that it had enough story elements to actually allow you to have a fun think about subjects as you watched. That doesn't last forever though. Some of it is laughable-in a fun way. The young characters make it watchable but don't really excel. The older actors are better. Kind of got a little predictable at the end when it became a standard action movie. It seemed like the best ideas were used quickly then it was dragged out with explosions but it's just about forgivable. Fans of 80s cheese will like it as well as fans of 80s predicted future societies/gangs that are ridiculous.

I had to check which came first - this or Terminator. The budgets are different, but the special effects of this are the same era. The story feels like a mix between Terminator and Small Soldiers, with the mood of an early Scanners movie.

Is it worth watching? For me, yes (even though it didn't get a high rating from me). It' s a movie of it's time. Violent, scared of the coming Robot Overlords, evil business men with computers. showing the power of special effects. And like many SciFi movies of the time, there are some enormous plot holes - in places it makes M Night Shamalyn plots look reasonable.

So if you enjoy B-grade SciFi horror, aren't too worried about plot and want a bit of history, check out Class of 1999.
