Watching this movie you can feel it was a passion project. I really enjoyed seeing all those familiar faces and the movie got enough laughs and chuckles out of me. I've always had a weakspot for Brian O'Halloran in emotional scenes and he did it again in this movie. A 7 for the movie +1 for the sentiment.

Kevin Smith has got the gang back together for Clerks 3, but unfortunately it’s current era Kevin Smith that has seemingly forgotten how to make comedy. There are some glimmers here and there but Smith not only undercuts his own humor with bizarre wackiness but he does the same with his serious dramatic moments. The moments that feel special are when we step back into some of the scenes from the original with the original players, but that might be a testament to how good the original Clerks is and a sad reminder of how far things have fallen.

Definitely, the worst in the series. There was no need to make this too many years later.

wow what a wonderful movie. i feel kevin smith did quite the impossible, to make the perfect trilogie. you can start the series whenever you want. with clerks 3, 2 or 1. its all connected, but its not. i like that very much. the movie was bittersweet and brutal honest. i was crying and laughing. two thumbs up!

Who opens a movie with such terrible music in 2022!? My chemical romance is so fucking terrible, it was giving me anxiety and I turned the film off not even 3 minutes in. 0/10.

Sorry but this was awful due to an unfunny emotionally manipulative script. I was bored for most of the runtime. Time to shut up shop!

Kevin Smith returns to the well one last time to bid a fond farewell to the characters that started it all in _Clerks III_. After having a heart attack, Randal is inspired to make a film about the wacky antics that have happen at the Quick Stop convenience store throughout the years. Those familiar with Smith will recognize the film’s meda commentary on the making of the original _Clerks_; and to that end, a number of scenes from the first film are recreated with the original actors. And while there are the usual raunchy sex jokes, the tone is weightier and darker than the previous films; with Dante grieving over the loss of his family and Randall facing his own mortality. Perhaps the most personal of Smith’s films, _Clerks III_ is a loving homage to the making of that first film and the characters that we’ve all come to love.

It's not as funny as the first two, but it closes out the trilogy in a cute way. I was disappointed by the sad part of the film, not going to expand as it's a large part of the story, but I'm guessing the point was bad stuff happens in real life. It definitely dampens the mood, but it's still funny.

Probably more a 7 as a stand alone or less. but for the trilogy, 8.

a slow start, but definitely a good way to close out this trilogy.

I enjoyed it for what it was although it does kind of ruin Clerks II knowing what's to come.

It was essentially Randall making Clerks, but it was fun to relive all that.

What happened to Kevin Smith? Don't watch this, just remember him as he was.

I was moderately enjoying the movie up to the point where Dante gets mad at Randal [spoiler](and has his heart attack)[/spoiler]. This part was surprisingly well acted by Brian O'Halloran and everything he said [spoiler]about his family dying, and therefore himself dying as a result,[/spoiler] just went straight to my heart. How dare you Kevin Smith from making you shed a tear!

As a moderate fan of all things Kevin Smith touches, I have been excited to get around to this. Somehow it was on my flight? Sign me up. Instantly turned on. I expected an average sequel, a couple chuckles, and let’s happily move on. Boy was I wrong. This movie has heart, a plot only these guys could put together, and enough of a plot to make me crave another.

Too much of a replay of the prior films and not enough fresh feeling content.

Why??? I'm not a "sequels shouldn't be made" kind of guy. But. This movie shouldn't have been made. It didn't deliver the laughs for me like the first Clerks movie and Dogma. At times it was a bit depressing (although I think Kevin Smith wanted us to feel that way).

The only good thing IMO was Rosario Dawson showing up once in a while, and she has become Hot AF since Clerks 2. :grin:

Was very good when it took itself a bit seriously and actually had a plot. Forcing lines from previous movies awkwardly in derailed it a bit. Overall, the weakest in the series but it did stick the ending.

I think this is just a sad attempt by Kevin Smith to try to be relevant again when he isn't. Sequels rarely work, comedy sequels even more so. The first Clerks was a cult classic, you can't really follow up a cult classic with a sequel, let alone two (the second Clerks wasn't that great either). This sequel falls pretty flat IMO.

Not the best film but a really nice ending to a series Kevin smith clearly cared a lot about. Stay for the credits to listen to him talk a little about the film, it was very wholesome.
