Please, oh my god, this was so iconic, I can't believe it took me this long to watch it, I totally understand why it's such a classic. Everything from the fashion, to the music, to Cher?? I love Cher so much, she deserves the world, I hope her and Josh are happily married with a cute family right now.

9/10

This movie was a lot weirder when I thought Josh was her half-brother.

So, I have two questions I may need some help:

1. Could someone explain me why is this movie considered such a great movie? I really want to understand but I just don't see it anywhere.

2. The fact that it's overlooked that they are step-siblings has me very confused, I would also appreciate help on this point.

From writer/director Amy Heckerling comes the teen comedy Clueless. When a superficial valley girl attempts to become more altruistic she takes a new transfer student at her high school under her wing and mentors her. Alicia Silverstone, Brittany Murphy, Paul Rudd, and Breckin Meyer lead the cast and have good chemistry together. But it's Silverstone's charm and charisma that carries the film. However, the ditziness of the characters gets a little annoying and their conflicts are rather mundane. Additionally, there's a bit of weirdness with a step-sibling romance. Clueless has some interesting things to say and a positive social message, but it tries too hard to tie thing up all nice and neat like.

I was just out of high school when this came out, pretty sure I saw this in the theater. It was funny seeing the kids go through some of the same logic I did seeing it the first time: "wait... isn't he her brother?" (yes, but not by blood... so still kinda problematic). Also, laughing about sagging and how HS boys still do it. Unfortunately this movie failed an important "does this hold up" test my kids have with older movies (god, this is an "older" movie): are the main love interests actually cute given style/taste changes... Paul Rudd: yup, but he's the brother (ew!). Christian and Elton? NO. Young Turk? YEAH! but not a love interest in the movie... SMH

I saw her thinking that it would be your typical teenage movie but it's too out of date. In the current context it does not make sense.

One of the best modernizings of the novel Emma I've ever seen. Placed in contemporary California, the acting is superb and the contemporary script elements knock it out of the park. If you are a Scrubs fan, you should watch this to see Turk (Donald Faisan) before he was Turk.

That was better than expected. After what I heard about it, I thought it would be very Mean Girls like, but it was very different. Good movie.

I love this movie even more now that I have seen it again. Not many high school movies really do it for me but this is written with such good comedic lines and timing that I have to put it up there with other classics. Kudos for having Mighty Might Bosstones on stage!
