great movie, with great acting and a great message. There was some questionable behavior that wouldn't be in the movie anymore if it was made today, but that was the only downside for me. 7,5/10

This is one of the best movies I've seen that deals with education and sport. We get attached to a team of young men who, through the role model that is coach Carter, finally hope for something better for their own lives. The movie also tackles the issue of the equality of chances and how you have to try harder than others when you come from an unprivileged neighborhood. Feel good movie. Definitely recommend.

What a great inspirational story about a family successful man who takes a job coaching the basketball team at his old high school where he owns all the records in order to make a difference/change as it is a poor minority high school that graduates only half their students. Sure the aspect of him making the team a cinderella story is entertaining and keeps the audience on the edge of their seat, but the real story that makes this a great film aside from the fluent plot development and casting, is the fact that Coach Carter emphasizes education over winning games and shows it in a dramatic way.
