Come Play
A lonely young boy feels different from everyone else. Desperate for a friend, he seeks solace and refuge in his ever-present cell phone and tablet. Bad CG, predictable jump scares, and a pretentious plot make this movie about as interesting as white bread. Some of the scares are OK, but the characters are painfully stupid and not worth putting up with the rest of the movie. The whole thing is poorly thought out and generally frustrating. I give More

While the movie is definitely derivative (i.e. "The Babadook" on a phone), the acting is above average, the creature effects are not bad, and there are a few cleverly done creepy scenes using the device's camera.
