Typical late-career Steven Seagal film: lots of shooting action, some fast-motion hand-to-hand fighting scenes (he still **looks** impressive even if it's not him) a few explosions that he sits through stoically and unfazed. And of course the ever-present scene where he's bedding some hot nude chick. I always thought it was funny that - in spite of his machismo and supposedly being _"the baddest guy on the planet"_ and in spite of the countless bedroom scenes he's done, Seagal has never once even bared his chest in a movie (well, I still have five more left and if he hasn't done it by now, let's hope he doesn't decide to start now.) As I've said about most of his late-career films, it wasn't his worst, but it was a far cry from his best. As far as the film itself, the storyline was there; the execution was NOT. Very convoluted and confusing, and hard to tell who was who and what was what...all the way up to the conclusion. It wasn't a "bad" movie…just clear as mud and as mentioned earlier, very typical of his late-career direct-to-video stuff. On the bright side, he wasn't working with a bunch of black dudes so he wasn't trying to speak ebonics. It's bad enough listening to Seagal mumble his way through a few lines (and that brings up another positive point about this film: he was doing his own lines and not having them phoned in by some faker who doesn't even sound like Seagal) but it just makes it exponentially worse when he tries to talk that idiotic gutter slang. If you're a die-hard Steven Seagal film-fan, you could do worse than watching this one; for anyone else, however, it's going to be just another humdrum very generic action film that won't make a lot of sense.
