As much as I tire of the overuse of the word "privilege" these days, this is a great study on what it is and when people don't know they have it. The documentary is showing people literally crying their eyes out, scared out of their mind, upset their stuck in their house, sitting depressed on their private docks, talking about having no support systems and being unable to travel (We were never actually unable to travel in the US, fyi, unless they mean to other countries in which case welcome to what it's like for 90% of us.) Very much a window into the world of people who don't realize how good they have it making a "poor me" documentary about how bad it was for them when covid started, while meanwhile people in other places in the world don't know they're not going to go outside and get an arm blown off or lose their child somehow in the next few hours. How projects like this make it on HBO blows my mind.
