It's not an awful movie, but I can't believe it actually got the best picture Oscar over Brokeback Moutain.

Yes, it was a good movie. Yes, it was emotional. And yes, this movie hab great plots, sidestories and so on.

But some explanations were so weird and the message is so questionable, that i don't see the point.

I don't want to use a Spoiler-Tag so i don't want to explain the story, but sometimes the movie lost me. Other scenes again were faszinating and just right.

So is it a bad movie? No, but it bugs me that it has this little mistones.

Anyway: A very nice, entertaining, (mostly) good acted movie with a great Matt Dillon cop-role and good characters.

6/10

@the_guy_with_the_hat One of my favorite movies. You said you don't see the point. The point was that nobody who is basically good, is always good. Some people were very good (arguably the Mexican guy with the daughter was the best person) but everyone, at their limits, was not at their best, and the movie 'crashes' them all together and sees what happens. We don't get a resolution with most characters, it does leave a lot unanswered, but it's just a day in the life of otherwise normal people, if a little stereotypical (and the movie addresses this).

I've seen it three times (maybe four?) and it seems like each time I pick up something different. You may not feel it's worth repeat viewings, but it's definitely one of those that benefits from them.

This movie is very frustrating and melodramatic. We get it, racism is bad. We all have different lives.

i know one thing for sure and it’s that this movie aint trying to educate the audience on racism at all (does it make sense? lol). i found the plot quite boring, predictable and lame.

Emotional rollercoaster from first to last minute. Permanent uncomfortable and epic. Highly recommended to have a view for the "why" in live.

A smart and provocative drama, Crash challenges audiences with complex racial and social issues. Set in LA during Christmas, the film follows several groups of people, including two police officers, a pair of thieves, a Hollywood director, a Middle-Eastern shop owner, as their lives intersect. The discussion of race relations during the season of “Peace on Earth and Goodwill toward Men” is quite apt, and while the racial messages may be heavy handed at times, there are some truly powerful moments that stay with you long after the film ends. Equally as impressive is the ensemble cast (Don Cheadle, Sandra Bullock, Ryan Phillippe, Terrence Howard, Thandie Newton), as each actor delivers a strong, compelling performance. Shades of gray and ambiguity surround each character, giving them an authenticity that keeps them from becoming two-dimensional stereotypes. Additionally, the filmmakers refrain from giving clear-cut answers, or making judgments; letting the audience come to their own conclusions instead. Crash is a raw, hard-hitting drama that takes a challenging look at society, and forces the audience to confront their preconceptions.

The only good scene is the one they used for the poster. Effective scene, but the rest sucks.

WARNING: Emotionally engaging!
This movie covers so many areas of life it catches you at least at one point.

Totally deserves the 3 Oscars & all the other awards - specifically for "Best Motion Picture" & "Best Writing".
I love it when the writers made it so that all the characters are interconnected and they don't even know it - it's so great :)
I saw it a few times now & it gets me everytime, especially the scene with the little girl.

An excellent movie distinctly for mature audiences. For someone living in Europe this shows America as it is behind the curtain. Besides that it is playing so many emotional chords that you will definitely get touched by one of the scenes. Witty dialogue that makes you laugh out on more than one occasions. Favorite character is the television director - especially when he goes berserk. 9/10
