What worked: I love how Stallone is such a dogsh** actor in everything else and then just turns into such a colossus of gravitas in these films with the best monologues going around. The in fight cinematography cant be beat and theres a great cameo halfway through the film.

Everything else was a hot mess attempting to make a point on toxic masculinity, panicking and being the equivalent of a Ben Cousins Say No To Drugs message. Character motivations across the board make no sense and the entire film takes over 2 hrs to make the same point that Marty McFly being called chicken in the first Back to the Future took ten minutes to illustrate. Soundtrack went from an epic identity creator in the first Creed to borderline parody featuring dramatic Boney M interlude, and unintentional Laurence of Arabia tribute.

This is a pretty good banner holder for films that get their heroes and villains mixed up. Guy becomes a father to a disabled child and risks his life to fight because reasons. What a total piece of sh**.

This is a solid entry to the Rocky/Creed franchise. It doesn't quite live up to the first Creed but that's a huge hill to climb. It's still really good for what it is and that is a good, and somewhat predictable, boxing movie. Michael B. Jordan and Tessa Thompson are great together. Stallone doesn't have as much to do as he did in the first Creed but he still does a fine job. It's always great to see more Dolph Lundgren and Florian Munteanu is just a beast.

Creed 2 has nothing new to offer, is predictable and really should have never existed.

I liked the sequel but nothing new with a predictable ending but also a lovely ending to finish the franchise off (hopefully) I’ve got to say, I liked the first creed more.

Tal y como dicen otras personas, Creed 2 es una película para los fans. Me ha gustado, pero la primera era mucho mejor. En esta parte hay mucha nostalgia y muchos sentimientos, pero falta la fuerza que tenía Creed.

I liked this movie more than I expected to. You know, there's been so many Rocky movies that you know for the most part whats going to happen. Loss/trial, training montage, success. And yet, despite that, the movies continue to be enjoyable. These Creed movies have really brought Rocky to our time. Legitimate losses, worries, sorrows, life changes, emotional baggage, it all comes together. This movie wasn't just about winning or training hard, it was about growing pains, about starting a family, about finding your place in the world. And thats what so great about this series. You feel it. Yes, its boxing. Yes, its predictable. But its also real, relatable emotion. And I will say, I loved how it ended. That the ending was more focused on learning to put family first than about winning. Well done!

Damn... Drago almost kill D.
His father was an asshole, but the story was interesting to follow.
I'm glad Bianca and Rocky were there all the way, without them Creed would have lost everything.
That baby was adorable, the moment I saw Creed and Bianca cry for her broke my heart.
I really enjoy this movie, it has ao of emotions.

I liked it, although something less than the 1, it was good to see what happened to Ivan Drago after losing the fight.I was more interested in the history of the parents than that of the children

For those of you who loved this film, and you are legion, I agree with you, this remake of _Rocky 4_ is much better than the original. Thank you for stopping by and please don't read any further, we're good.

For the rest of you, _Creed II_ felt like a long, involved magic trick that I already knew how was done. Technically the movements were well performed, but I knew each twist before the predictable finish, so this trick held little magic for me.

PS I will say the soundtrack was on point, though.

This is one where the fight comes second and the drama comes first.

“You know, there’s only three steps into that ring. Just three. And tonight, it’s going to look as high as a mountain. And when you climb through them ropes, it’s going to be the loneliest place in the world because you’re going to be in there with another fighter who wants to take you out. So now, you got to ask yourself, are you here to prove something to other people, or prove something to yourself?”

I rewatched this following rewatches of Balboa and Creed... and I have to re-evaluate it completely.

Opening day in the cinema, I chastised this film for being a blatant remake of Rocky III. And a less well-directed film than Creed. And a shameless use of Dolph Lundgren and Brigitte Nielsen for effect.

Now the dust has settled, I see it differently.

It's the rightful conclusion to the Rocky Balboa story. And a rightful circle-of-life with Adonis Creed reliving the lives of his father and his 'uncle'.

It's not without flaws that the first Creed did not have. The opponent isn't a good enough actor to sell what Lundgren sold in Rocky IV. There's a little pacing issue at the start that has too much delivered too soon. And the score is schlocky during the final fight to the detriment of the action.

All in all. This is it now. Don't make any more as it will only harm the anthology.

For Rocky - the greatest character in cinema and I'll stand toe to toe with anyone who disagrees with that - it is the perfect final chapter.

Even though this is really by the numbers and predictable, it’s pretty well executed.
Great cinematography, the acting by leads Michael B Jordan and Tessa Thompson helps out a lot (given how shoddy some of the other performances are), there’s a great montage near the end and the action is competent.
Mildly recommended, though you’ll probably have a better time rewatching the first one.

I saw the empty seat next to Rocky at the end and started crying. In my head that seat was for Apollo. I felt really bad for Viktor. He must've had a hard life being primed by his dad.

Creed gave us the same usual Rocky story. That the first Rocky and Rocky Balboa gave us. A boxer just trying to prove themself. With the final match ending by decision. Creed just does that as well. Yet, Rotten Tomatoes has it ranked as the best boxing film of all time.
Now with Creed 2 reviews weren’t as good. Since critics could admit the film isn’t original. It’s a combination of Rocky 3 and Rocky 4. Both films are good but less face it. Creed 1 is about as unoriginal as Creed 2. It is not the best boxing film of all time.
Either way Creed 2 though, keeps your attention even if it predictable. Due to the heart, performances and chemistry of the actors.
