It's not a popular opinion to have but I like 'Creepshow 2'. It's not as good as the original 'Creepshow', but there are some cool, creepy and weird things to appreciate.

This anthology consists of only three stories and a wraparound cartoon that is strangely weak, but still brings the oddness of a Ralph Bakshi, crossed with the stylings of a Don Bluth. This means it's watchable, regardless of its lameness.

The first story is so poorly acted that it's even more comical than it might intend. It's predictable, but 'Old Chief Wood'nhead' himself is a cool creation. I love the way he creaks and groans through his vengeful killing spree.

'The Raft' is probably the best of the lot even with its beast, that looks to be a floating tarp. The effect of being digested by the monster is pretty convincing. This segment is horribly dated and screams 1980's, right down to the yellow Camaro with the Cragar mags. There is a perverted little scene when the good guy, the "hero", decides to check under the hood of the sleeping high school beauty. It's baffling, but hey...such were the '80s.

Finally 'The Hitchhiker' concludes the trifecta. It's a brutal little story that had me wincing due to the most lethal use of a Mercedes I've seen. "Thanks for the ride, Lady!" sounds friendly enough, until you watch this story.

I'm sure I'm one of the few but I think 'Creepshow 2' is worth a Halloween evening's viewing.
