Since I know a lot about cryptocurrency, I was excited to get to watch this one, but there are a few problems.

Crypto is not really a movie about cryptocurrency...it's a movie about criminals who are using crypto to do the usual bad things. Money laundering, murder, etc, and a banking officer who tries to tie it all up. It all ends up a confusing mess. Rather a lot of human drama scattered throughout makes it even more muddled. Throw in some very dominating music in some parts of the movie, and you end up with something that is doesn't even resemble a good movie.

I was wishing for something that would put crypto in a better light, but I got the usual "crypto is for criminals" spiel. Oh sure...they try to make it look legit, but they fail miserably.

Crypto is not a movie I would recommend. It's a mediocre thriller that falls way short of what it could have been. Someone else might find something redeemable about Crypto, but this one was not for me.
