That's the kind of movie that doesn't age well. Very poor nowadays

A rather poor adaptation of Stephen King’s best-selling novel, Cujo doesn’t deliver any real scares. The story follows a suburban family that’s going through some domestic issues, while across town a junkyard dog named Cujo slowly turns rabid and starts attacking people. Either because of poor acting or bad writing, the characters aren’t very interesting. And, the dog isn’t that frightening. The directing is also rather weak, and doesn’t bring any sense of danger or intensity to the scenes. Additionally, the score is clichéd and trite. Cujo is little more than a stereotypical B-horror film that relies mostly on cheap scares.

Not a bad movie. I like the way the dog is transforming and judging all people who is a sinner. I think the movie is quite good to see nowadays, and the work in order to film the dog is very intelligent in order to feel it!

This was pretty good. First off, I gotta say, someone needs to give Lewis Teague an Oscar for Directing Animals on Film. Between the performance he gets here from Cujo and then from the cat in Cat's Eye, the dude has got the touch. I was pleasantly surprised how thrilling it was once the dog vs. car battle happened. I have avoided watching this because A) I heard it was heavy on the family drama and B) Google has it incorrectly listed as being 2hrs and 15 min. It's not. It's a tight 91. Big difference. Dee Wallace is a badass! Also, dear lord was that kid screaming getting on my nerves. I get that a kid would probably be screaming that much in that real situation, but I cheered when Dee Wallace screamed at him to shut it. Anyway, good movie! Great dog and Dee acting!

The dog's acting is great. I thought the plot was going to be a lot bigger than one car but it was still intense.

Not to be confused with Beethoven (the dog, not the composer), this isn't the best Stephen King adaptation, but its far from the worst. The premise is pretty thin - a mother and son are confined to a car because of a rabid dog - so it can get pretty wearying. However, its very much of its time and has a comforting sense of 80's movie nostalgia. I have the book on my shelf but have never read it. Am interested to know how King filled an entire novel with this story.
