An evil is unleashed in a small town when a logging company sets up shop in the neighboring woods. Mostly uninteresting. Terrible blue tint over all the outdoor camera shots, I guess to make it look cold outside? Boring movie. Not really worth the time. Story has potential though it’s been done plenty of times before, this was executed pretty poorly.

Really disappointing, especially since I expected better with Kevin Durand as the lead role. In fairness half the film isn’t too bad, as it builds up the suspense and they eventually realise what they are up against. Then the ending is such a let down, it makes no sense. Considering what happens to others in a blink of an eye earlier in the film and then they barely do anything with hardly any firepower. And the last minute is just ridiculous. Also, they show a reasonably large town, bar, cafe with lots of people. But, when the gather everyone together there’s about 20 people?? It had potential, but they certainly didn’t deliver. It’s not awful, but don’t rush to watch it. Oh and on Amazon is called Monster Hunter, not Dark was the Night?
