It's a captivating display of a man who didn't realize he was autistic until many years, and his journey for connection and the euphoria that comes from it. Spike Lee was a great choice to elevate already excellent material, extending the viewpoint beyond one white man and instead helping the film achieve its aims of diversity and inclusion. I Should Watch TV is a particular highlight, with Lee perfectly capturing the effects on stage and highlighting them. When Byrne looks through the curtain simulating a TV screen, he is looking at us, and the moment he steps through it is breathtaking. At its best, this film leaves you with a constant smile on your face.

Fantastic show. Melds a high energy Talking Heads concert with an artistic dreamy Broadway play. The visuals are wacky and eye catching. As for the content - honestly, the highlights for me are the songs I've known (and loved) for years. The newer stuff is kind of all over the place - some good, some of it is filler. The commentary between songs can get a little preachy at times, but it is interesting.

The musicians assembled for this are all extremely talented and from all over the world. Bringing them all together is a glorious achievement. It's amazing that they are all playing what you hear untethered by wires. That in and of itself is a technological achievement.

Watch this one time while paying attention, and then re-watch numerous times as background music!
