Daniel Craig, Liev Chreiber and Jamie Bell were not believable as Polish Jews at all, their accents were strange and they simply did not fit in with the rest of the cast especially Daniel Craig, a blonde haired blue eyed man playing the role of a natural born Jew? he looks NOTHING like the man he is supposed to be representing. This made the film very cringey and hard to bare at times. The cinematography was also very strange, the film looks like it had a filter applied to it or something because the lighting didn't look natural at all. Like someone turned up the saturation or simply fucked around with the levels.

The drama itself was decent, and if you ignore the awkward accents the acting from the main cast was actually pretty good. But in the end, the epilogue screen was more interesting than the entire movie itself.

A Great Emotional Story! The movie is based on a true story, which alone is a phenomenal one, the film really brings a great light to the story, and the emotion felt by the Jews during WW2, and the hardship they faced. My only criticism is the length and some scene felt very drawn out, other than that Brilliant Movie.

Didn't had the opportunity to check "Defiance" until now, and I got to say this is a very good film. The film tells us the true story of a group of jewish brothers who built a community in the middle of the Belorussian forest while Nazis occupied the territory. The story by Edward Zwick is pretty good and really shows us the ups and downs of their journey. Daniel Craig and Liev Schreiber do a pretty good job in their roles too. Overall an entertaining film, not at the level of biographical films like "Valkyrie" and "Schindler's List" but still very entertaining.
