Any movie with 80s music and a cheese festival is ok in my book.

Another brilliant instalment for this franchise. Just as funny as the first two, great music too.

Unfortunately that movie was very disappointing even though I did not had any expectations at all after the "Minions" movie disaster. I loved the first two movies but that movie actually bored myself. Way too many side stories, a lack of funny minions side kicks, etc.

This is a disappointing end to what started as a great franchise. Loved the first movie, the second was pretty good, but this one just wasn't very good at all. Too many random side stories, not enough action, and the villain was lame. That being said, my kids loved it. And while I get that it is aimed more for them, the first two were fun for the whole family and this one was lacking in that regard.

With stunning animation and stellar voice-over work, despicable me 3 is a worthy entry for this franchise. The story is full of heart, has a compelling villain and provides great laughs.

On the phone:

Hollywood Exec: Oh, hi Steve, we are doing another Despicable Me, and as you're contractually obliged to voice Gru we expect to see you on Monday
Steve: The thing is...well.. isn't this franchise getting stale now?
Exec: Probably, who cares, the kids wanna see it so we are doing it. See you Monday.
Steve: Not sure I can do this one...
Exec: As I said - contract - obliged - you have no choice, sorry. But look at the bright side, be thankful you aren't voicing an Emoji.
Steve: Hmm..
Exec: Monday! See you then. Think of the money. (hangs up)
Steve: Sigh. At least it's not Dinner for Schmucks 2. (cries into his soup)

Stale, pointless sequel. I feel sorry for Steve.

It's the fourth movie in the franchise and it's got to a point where they are just making them to bring in money from little kids parents. While it's good to hear the voices of Steve Carell and other cast members, it's just pointless and annoying. There is a reason they don't tell you a lot about the storyline. But kids love to watch "Gru" make stupid jokes so you can see they're even leading up to another installment.

Overall, a decently funny movie ruined by a bad storyline and merchandise.

Not mind blowing how good it is. But the movie is still cute and fun. The Minions are funny but the directors are running out of ideas on how to use them.
While the villain obsessed with the 80’s can be pretty annoying.
