While not a return to form like I thought Mothra vs Godzilla was. This movie certainly stands up there as being cohesive and actually having an interesting human story to go with it.

The monster battles are awesome and the final sequence is great. The sci-fi aspect seeps back in again since we last saw it in _Invasion of the Astro-Monster_ and it fits well considering they did a time-jump. I really enjoyed this movie from its use of futuristic props to the score and of course the fight scenes. It's all-around monster battling and destruction, as well as some good action of the human side of things too. This is, I believe the first time in a Godzilla movie where we see people shooting each other and see the impacts. Clearly just dabs of red paint, but still graphic considering you see a guy get shot in the head and that they were aiming for younger audiences not 1 film ago.

The aliens here are basically the exact same as the ones from _Astro-Monster_ just different looks and planets. They have the same goals though. While the others were looking to obtain Earth for more water. These aliens have no goals besides making every human a part of their computer hive mind? Which is even stranger when they want to just kill everyone in the end.

Either way, this movie, meant to be the big finale in the Toho Godzilla films is a nice monster battle rumble against the ever great villain of Ghidrah. I had a great time with this movie and this was to be the last time all 3 co-creators of Godzilla worked on a project together again. Not astounding, but enjoyable for the majority.
