I'm on record as not being a fan of Found Footage Horror. But I was ready to give _The Dyatlov Pass Incident_ a passing grade, maybe even a positive one. Until the ending. The sudden emergence of PS2 graphics was bad enough (especially for something that is supposed to have been captured on a real-world camera) but something happens (no spoilers) in that same sequence which just doesn't make any sense, even completely contained within the movies own canon. These things took me out of it completely, and sullied what could have been a surprisingly good experience.

_Final rating:★★½ - Had a lot that appealed to me, didn’t quite work as a whole._

Well this is absolutely frickin awesome and very unique for what the topic of this fantastic movie in centred around.
And what I love is it's about one of my all time favourite Mysteries.
The Dyatlov
Pass Incident.
Now I've studied and looked into this heavily and what an absolute mind fcuk it is, I find it absolutely fascinating and totally mind boggling and I love everything about the hole intriguing Incident.
I've watched the real life documentary on it and it blow my frickin mind especially when in the documentary they show you what was being written in the journal and then they show you one frame of a photo taken with a large black kinda hairy mass of a shape behind the tree as if studying/Stalking the group.
Am telling you the real life documentary
is super Awesome just like this movie.
And the fact they throw all the other lore in as well from other well known Mysteries and things the governments will kill to keep covered up well I am glued to this amazing movie every single time I view it.
There definitely needs to be more movies and coverage on this particular subject matter.
I am definitely up for
more of that.
This is a really great story and for the little we know about what really happened, definitely needs to be told and talked about,
Because shit like this can not
just be buried and
forgotten.
I'm so glad I own this movie on
Blu Ray
And there are some awesome videos on YouTube all about it if you find it as interesting as i do and
you wish to know more.

Maybe it's something about the snow, ice and cold. I seem to be drawn to movies about people struggling in bad weather. I'm also a sucker for stories of strange occurrences, disappearances, and conspiracies. I also have a fondness for Horror flicks. "Devil's Pass" should have been a slam dunk for me. And you know what? It was.

The plot concerns a group of college students who follow the path into the Ural mountains that a group of hikers traveled back in 1959. Everyone in that original expedition died and to say they died in horrifyingly odd fashion would be an understatement. These deaths actually occurred and the mystery, known as "The Dyatlov Pass Incident", remains unsolved (and scary) to this day.

"Devil's Pass" starts out with a lot of exposition and is even a little slow until the final 30 minutes. But then all Hell breaks loose. The story posits an explanation for the original hikers' deaths and then takes a left turn into insanity. Skip the rest of my thoughts here if you want to avoid spoilers...I absolutely loved that the finale included "The Philadelphia Experiment", time travel/wormholes, Nightcrawler-style teleportation, and some Soviet Union military conspiracy thrown in for good measure.
