This is the kind of film that I would have loved to love. Unfortunately, the film is a rather wildly unbelievable tale. Even Milland's terrific job can't save the film from it's unrealistic twists. I would argue that this is one of Hitchcock's least successful films.

This is such a great classic Hitchcock movie. The camera angles, the colors, the story....

Ray Millan and Robert Cummings play great opposite each other. John Williams does excellent as Chief Inspector. His little "mustache play" at the end seems to be a nod towards Poirot.

Grace Kelly is mesmerizing as always. Such a classic woman.

A very good little thriller, of the kind Alfred has got us used to.

I had no idea that A Perfect Crime was based on this one. I liked that movie a lot. And I liked this one very much. The directing is great. The acting and music are marvelous. Although I found it a little bit tangled, and I suppose that is the idea, but I got a bit lost.

Super enjoyable movie with some nice twists and turns. I really like most of it. The acting, camera work and everything else is great. But honestly, how can you not see someone watching you from inside the house, when you are just a couple of meters away. I mean, the window is right there. Seems a bit odd, but oh well… :joy:

While this is not one of the most popular Alfred Hitchcock films out there, it is still brilliant.

You can immediately recognise this film has Sir Alfred Hitchcock’s signature on it from the way the film is shot and its story is told.

I did not know anything about the film before I started watching it and I am glad I did it. There were plenty of surprises to see me going to the end of the film.

Would I watch it again? Possibly. Would I make my friends watch it? Definitely.

“Dial M for Murder” is unfairly remembered amongst Hitchcock’s minor works, but it’s actually one of my favorites of his. Despite being mostly shot in one room with the same four or five people, it manages to be compelling throughout, constantly making you wonder what is going to happen next. Even though I have to confess, I ended up empathizing with the husband rather than the protagonists.
