Do you know Diana Vreeland? Actually, I did not know about her. Apparently, she was one of the most important and influential person in fashion industry in modern age. Speaking of fashion, I knew only Anna Winter as the "Empress" in the industry. However, Diana was the first Empress, and surprisingly she also worked in Vogue. I felt what she did was to create art and I could knew why modern fashion is felt like art and sometimes difficult to be understood. Although I still think fashion is not easy, I can appreciate now what is going on in the world of fashion and I feel like I may be able to enjoy it. This film is quite interesting in a meaning to check the history of modern fashion, and it is full of wonderful quotes. For instance, "She made it be okay for women to be ambitious, for women to be outlandish and extraordinary, and for women to gain an attention.", "She wanted everybody to understand her shows. She used to say, 'If an 8-year-old girl from Harlem doesn't understand what she is looking at, then I'm wasting my time.'", or "'Now, Madam Vreeland, tell me, what are your diplomas and preparations for being?', she sat absolutely quietly for a count of 60, and she got up then looked up and she said ' you know perfectly well that I have had no education whatsoever. But I'm here , and I have done one thing. That is bringing people to the museum."
