I can't tell if this was horrifically bad or just regular old bad, whether the acting was truly awful or if it was bad - on purpose - because these are supposed to be film students and amateurs. There was some really bad and cringy writing, that's for sure. I did enjoy the professor's dreary philosophical musings. But it took me several sittings to get through because except for the professor's manic depressive comments, everything else was pretty rotten.

Romero fans will get a slither here and there of the great zombie filmmakers work but it is hidden under a horribly acted and low budget film.

If you didn’t know the name attached, it would be understandable to think this was some sort of fan film.

I've never really understood why this movie was soo derided, and watching it a decade later, I'm more confused. It has aged nicely, and is even more in line to comment on today's climate of fake news and obsession with social media. It's actually one of Romero's better zombie flicks. Surprised at how much more I liked this from the last time I viewed it.

George A Romero was the Neil Blomkamp of his generation. He peaked with his first movie and made his entire career off of it.

You know it's sad when even a #foundfootageslut finds the footage dull.
