Light & breezy comedy that uses an excellent selection of music to enhance the period scene. Well paced with a clever alternative take.

Kind of pushed on through just because it was too late in the evening to quit and pick another movie. While I enjoyed some cameos, and some small moments with the protagonists, most of this was a yawn-fest.

Is _Dick_ cute? At times, yes. But I remain unconvinced by Dan Hedaya's portrayal of Nixon, and by Dunst & Williams' portrayals of airheaded teenage girls. The humor is both predictable and unfunny. The film's primary redeeming quality, though it couldn't make up for the lackluster script, was the setting. _That_ was done well, especially in the soundtrack and set dressings.

Sometimes one plays the lottery, choosing a film at random from those available in a particular environment (in this case, the comedies provided via free Showtime on-demand at our hotel), and loses.

Alternate reality Noxon presidency gets toppled by 2 clueless high school girls who want nothing more than peace, love, baking and walking dogs.

If only this was what really happened.

Dick is an outrageous political satire that’s charming and fun. When President Nixon makes two high school girls (who accidentally stumbled across the Watergate break-in) the official White House Dog Walkers, they end up bringing down his administration. Kirsten Dunst and Michelle Williams are excellent, and have real talent for this style of farcical comedy. And, the script is quite clever in how it’s able to keep the comedy light without becoming overly cartoonish. With sass and spunk, Dick is an entertaining and hilarious film.
