More funny than scary, it's got more potential for a better sequel. The monsters, as few of them as there are, make a decent impact in only seconds of total screen time. I'd like to see a second entry that follows the creatures on their next fight to keep their world secluded.

Oh, and three words...Ray Wise rules!!!!

Found footage that thinks it’s clever because it’s partially meta and includes many from the horror production scene. Threadbare story with decent prosthetic work, but nothing worth of the runtime. Avoid.

Self-aware found footage film doesn't make it better in any way. Adam Green is no actor.

Such a great found footage movie that plays as a faux documentary. Love the execution and all the little cameos. Adam Green trying to find the monster Kingdom is all kinds of entertaining.

Fun to watch if you're a fan of the horror-genre and the people working in it..It doesn't deliver much thrill untill the end to be honest, but the always lovable Ray Wise and Adam Green carry the film all the way..

A "what the $#!+" ending. I won't say if it's good or bad, but I'm sure you'll say, what the $#!+ #ShiftvW8

A genuinely enjoyable and quite original meta mockumentary/monster film hybrid. It's a completely different film than I expected but I have to say I really dug it. I thought it's a found footage film but it's actually not. The idea of the film is actually very interesting. Adam Green plays himself in the film, the director of horror films who has a loyal fanbase he interacts with. There's also a lot of familiar faces from the horror community. You'd thought having familiar faces in this type of films would make the film less believable, but they actually give it more realistic feel than others in the same sub-genre. The amount of filler also gives it a real docu feel, so I think they really pulled it off. The film has some genuinely creepy moments too. Ray Wise is fantastic as a former detective who believes the existence of underworld monsters that he really triggers my imagination if that's actually real or not the whole time. The practical effects and the artworks are also fantastic. I recommend to anyone who wants a unique horror mockumentary.
