Absolutely a wonderful movie. The acting is amateur, but the parkour skills are spectacular. This is the only French movie that I have seen, but it is absolutely divine. The plot is decently thought out and there aren't any problems with the CGI. David Belle is an excellent parkourist (let us hope that is spelled correctly) and made the movie truly memorable. Cyril Raffaelli is also a hit. With the American remake (Brick Mansions) copying this movie almost scene for scene, it might be difficult to watch. I have had the pleasure of watching this first and it made me truly sad when I watched the remake. The remake doesn't have as much action since Paul Walker (Playing the same role as Cyril) cannot actually do parkour. Overall I would score this movie a 7/10. Definitely worth the watch.

A perfectly watchable B film.
It’s very comparable to one of the better Fast and Furious films.
On the one hand, it’s dumb, terribly acted, scripted, etc.
At the same time: it knows what it is, the action’s quite good, and you give just enough of a shit to be engaged.
I also wonder if this is the film that inspired the opening scene for Casino Royale.
If so, then that alone should make us thankful for this film’s existence.

5.5/10

@jordyep "The parkour scene in “Casino Royale” is performed by a childhood friend of Belle’s named Sébastien Foucan" says this 2007 article in the New Yorker. As far as I know, most of those original parkour folks (Belle, Foucan, the whole Yamakasi crew, see film of the same name) were from the same time and place around Paris (Lisses). https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2007/04/16/no-obstacles
