Guy Pearce was the only thing that made this film watchable for me. Like many other people have said, I have no idea how they managed to get him to agree to be in this movie. He did the best he could with what he was given. The dialogue was woeful. Kelly Greyson is not a great female lead and as soon she started fighting that biker it became laughable and I knew what kind of film I was about to watch. As much as I like Barbie Blank, she is attractive and I liked her in WWE, her acting is pretty bad in this movie. The lead villain played by Devon Sawa was decent at best. Their were no character developments at all.

This is definitely a B movie that I can admit sometimes having some guilty pleasures with movies like these, however this was just plain bad. The camera work is ok at times but nothing that will blow you away. The action scenes are boring and poorly done.

The premise of a marshal refusing to carry a firearm but having to overcome that was certainly an interesting concept that just became really dull and didn't mount to much. The plot of Disturbing the Peace is a very basic one, but if you are looking for a better film where a sheriff protects a town from outlaws, go watch The Last Stand with Arnold Schwarzenegger, it is much better executed.
