The Marvel Universe becomes transcendental. It doesn't veer far from the Marvel formula but it is hugely entertaining and Cumberbatch is terrific, as usual.

Strangely, there are echoes of some of the lesser superhero movies within. Green Lantern, Elektra and 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer share similarities. Obviously, Doctor Strange is better than all of them and takes the superhero genre into a new, fantastical realm.

Just got back from the world premiere. It's a lot of fun and thoroughly entertaining. Classic Marvel humor and tone, amazing visuals, Benedict Cucumber is stellar, but there are a few story flaws and the MCU is really starting to feel formulaic (I'm probably just suffering from franchise burnout).

I wasn't too optimistic about seeing this since I'm not really a fan of him, but ol' Bendysticks Cabbagepatch did alright.

As with most Marvel movies these days, I struggled to give much of a fuck. Doctor Strange is well made and looks great, but there is little depth past what you see right in front of you. With more engaging writing, this could have been brilliant.

I love that Marvel has created an expectation across all ages and types of movie lovers that even after and during the credits there is more to be seen. No one moved a muscle until it was all said and done, neither should you either if you haven't seen this film.
Doctor Strange brings perfect casting (even to those characters many doubted fit), mind bending visuals that leave you stunned, but sadly with another good villain but without the punch to make it a great, but who did serve his purpose of bringing us the Doctor Strange. One of my favorite introduction films in the MCU and i can't wait for a second viewing.
Yes, it's formulaic. But I loved every other aspect of this movie. I may be a little biased as Doctor Strange has been my favourite superhero since I was a kid, but I absolutely loved this movie. I think Benedict Cumberbatch was a perfect casting choice, along with these being some of the best visuals I've ever seen in a movie (especially in the MCU). Loved it!
