If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball

Sadly, they don't make comedies like this one, anymore. Not only is the humour on point, the cameos made the whole package even sweeter.
Ben Stiller (and Will Ferrel) had a very good run during the first decade of the new millennium.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but I also can't help but to look forward to _Dodgeball 2_ (happening soon, allegedly).

Nothing new here. A typical American Sports film where an unlikely team wins and the evil ones get what's coming to them. Even though I'd never seen the film before I feel like I've seen the storyline so many times and it was very predictable. But predictability never stops it from being an enjoyable film and there were funny moments.

It's crazy how much I quote this movie without realizing it. Even ESPN does the Ocho a lot because of this movie. I don't know how Gary Cole and Jason Bateman didn't do a ton of sports commentary after this.

Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge! I still love this film after all these years.

Oh, man, I completely forgot about the Lance Armstrong cameo, giving his pep talk about not giving up in the _same_ movie that had a girl scout eliminated from competition for testing positive for steroids **and** a low-grade beaver tranquilizer.

[spoiler]The chest full of cash being labeled Deus Ex Machina is the _perfect_ example of how self-aware this goofy fucking movie was. And Kate being a bisexual sexpot, instead of a lesbian, making out with another hot woman just before kissing Vince Vaughn is the perfect example of the time period this was made.[/spoiler]

Dodgeball will always be my favorite unintentional sequel to Heavyweights. White Goodman is just Tony Perkis a decade later, and no one can ever convince me otherwise.

ok now think of happy gilmore. now add dodgeball and homophobia. thats this movie. anyways even if this movie had no homophobia or something i would still not like it much. all i could think watching this is how its a mix of here comes the boom and happy gilmore so it really soured the mood. also the jokes in this are just not funny. YES I UNDERSTNAD HERE COMES THE BOOM IS 2012 i watched it first tho so idk

Hilarious movie from start to finish. The cast has great chemistry, the jokes are great, and the story is actually good. Love the fact they made a comedy about Dodgeball. So good.

Probably the second best sports comedy of all time (just beat out by Caddyshack). Vaughn is no Bill Murray, but plays the role he usually would have. Great lines and performances make this a great movie to watch over and over again.

Haven't seen this in forever but I'm glad it still holds up. I just simply enjoy seeing Ben Stiller play White Goodman. Such an over the top annoying prick, lovely! It's also fun to see that Alan Tudyk can play a pirate as accurately as he can play an alien!

Anyway DogdeBall: A True Underdog Story is an 80's sportcomedy with all the clichés made in the 2000's which is great. Like I said it still holds up for me, which is tough for comedies I really liked when I was growing up. (I was 15 years old when I first saw this one) Most of them get by for nostalgic reasons but I found this one to be really funny at times and building a movie around Dogdeball is just perfect. Loved the game when I was in high school.

So yeah, if you're up for a comedy DodgeBall could be the choice for you!
