There are three things that make _Dog_ (_Chien_, in the original French) a great film and they are all Samuel Benchetrit, who wrote the original novel, adapted the screenplay and directed this movie which has more heart than the most loyal of pets. The poetry, the imagery and the dark humour of this film reached me the way no animal could, and made me realise _Dog_ is the most human film I've seen this year.
