Another horror sequel that doesn’t need to exist. The original had a fantastic premise so the fact that there weren’t rly any likable characters was easier to ignore. The first one had a plot u could describe to someone and convince them to watch whereas this one felt very generic and like something I’ve seen before. This movie starts strong and try’s to connect us to Stephen Lang’s character but as the movie progresses u care less and less and ultimately just wait for the movie to end because u could care less about a single character in the movie. And that’s where this movie hits its biggest flaw it doesn’t matter who dies or how if the only reason u don’t want them to die is because there there a lil bit less of a douchebag than the next character. A movie can’t connect to the audience if the audience can’t connect with the characters. That being said I was never scared or on the edge of my seat like the first mostly because I didn’t care about anyone.

That sequel that is just made for the money.
Love how bshollywood give a "human" side to a rapist and killer.
A good father, with God in is heart and a pretty daughter to raise against the evil society. Lovely

Ehh, I thought the first one could have utilized the blind man’s advantage of not needing the light the way everyone else does, but this one does it even less. It was a nice change of pace story wise, but there’s less tense moments and way less use of the darkness in this one. Felt more like an action movie and less like a horror/thriller.

this movie has an interesting characteristic: you can change your mind-set to enjoy more or less.
if you compare to the excellent first one, you enjoy lesser. it is hard to ignore all the bad things that the blind man did, so its hard to cheer for him.
if you do NOT compare to the first one, and treat as a stand alone movie, you enjoy more! watch through the eyes of "Phoenix" and the twists become more powerful.
so, as a sequel it's a poor movie, but as an stand alone movie, it works great.

if you didn't like the movie (or even if you did), here is a **thought experiment**: think that this movie is the FIRST movie of this duology and that the first is really the second one acting as a prequel, so you can know
all the bad things that the blind man did as he spoke to phoenix in his lasts moments
I think it's pretty good but it doesn't retain all the qualities that made the previous one great and it's kinda pointless. Plus it feels like an action film rather than horror.

Lang does a good job once again, but it's difficult to cheer for him considering his past. Obviously we're cheering for the well-being of the girl, but for him to come out the other side isn't a priority per se. Somewhat cartoonish baddies. Decent set pieces. 6.4 for me.

Don’t hold your breath for a better sequel. Its not awful but it has none of the suspense of the first film.

Whoever came up with the idea to make the villain from the first movie into a sympathetic anti-hero for the sequel, made a big mistake.

Disturbing in a host of ways, especially if you've seen the prequel... but it holds your attention. I wouldn't mind a third installment featuring Phoenix and the new kids on the block.

Like a watch recycling center, this isn't a total waste of time.

However, the decent action wasn't enough to overcome the clumsy misdirects, bad science, and lack of innovative premise. What's more, I breathed so much, so the _Don't Breathe 2_ didn't hold up its end.

Now that was action packed with another good performance from Stephen Lang aka badass blind man also good job from the young actress madelyn. I really enjoyed that, not far of matching the first, definitely worth ‘seeing’

I normally don’t go for this kind but it was entertaining enough for a skeptic like me to watch hole thing and it did keep me at the screen

Started off alright, then continually got more absurd and zany with each passing minute...and in the end I don’t know what the hell I just witnessed. 200% unbelievable, but was watchable.

Episode 10x04
This sequel is reinvented so much that it seems like a remake. It has gory and gory moments but they don't sustain a pretty loose and forgettable story. I was expecting something more and it stays at a 5/10.

I wouldn’t say it is the same as the first. Since this time you want to see the home invaders die, violently. Stephen Lang is good but the new director Rodo Sayagues doesn’t utilize the blind man’s blindness as well as Fede Alvarez did.
The blind man feels more vulnerable and less of a threat this time. Though he was never really an evil man. He just went a little mad after losing his daughter.
He’s also probably sad and lonely, just don’t mess with him. Well, especially don’t mess with him in the first film, anyway. He’s dangerous in this just not as dangerous.
Spoiler Warning: I think the film would have been stronger if Phoenix was Rocky’s daughter. Rocky is not Stallone but Jane Levy’s character is the first film. It would have made perfect sense if the blind man stole Rocky’s daughter. Some years later, for revenge.
Instead the movie is like Blind Fury that starred the late great Rutger Hauer as a blind hero.
