On one hand I am glad I saw this, to chalk it off the list of movies that should be seen.
On the other hand, I just wasted almost 2 hours of my life watching utter rubbish.
The only redeeming feature of this movie was Barbara Bouchet.

This movie is soooo underrated. Is one of the best giallo movies: not only the plot is interesting but also the turn of events are great: when the perpetrator of those murders is revealed is just surprising. And I really like how Fulci developed the facts. Watch it and you won't be disappointed.

Interesting giallo in that it deals almost equally with corrupt patriarchy and fear of superstition, rather than just a simple murder mystery. It also takes a different turn in moving from the typical locale of cities and urban landscapes to a rural backdrop. The viscousness of that finale though was kind of hilarious.

Suprisingly good. The story was good. The location enhanced the story and helped create an isolated and atmosphere. Not the gig gest horror atmosphere ever but still rewarding. It was really well shot. Some red herrings in the mystery that come from character rather than cheap twists, so that was good. Seemed a little slow sometimes but the end was great.
