Not sure where, but I had seen this listed on one of those "Top Most Horrifying Movies Ever" (or something similar to that) lists floating around the 'net so when I stumbled across the very memorable title on Arrow (www.arrow-player.com) I immediately recognized the title and gave it a watch. Huge, huge, HUGE letdown. I'ma have to quit relying on those "lists" to tell me what kind of movie is "absolutely horrifying" or other such opinions; this was nothing but an Italian "whodunit" movie with a **teensy** - and ladies and gentlemen, I do mean **TEENSY** - bit of gore thrown in...and that without any reason. This really was nothing more than an Italian mystery based on the strangulation murders of a group of young boys; the only really gruesome scenes were when a woman (known locally as a "witch") was brutally killed and then the super-slo-mo closing scene. Neither scene made any sense (as far as the intense violence incorporated) and did nothing to enhance the movie. I'm a Lucio Fulci fan and have been since seeing his _City of the Living Dead_ (released in the US as _The Gates of Hell_) but apparently I'm a fan of his later works, such as the aforementioned _City of the Living Dead_, _Zombie_, and_The Beyond_. This movie, for some odd reason, has been "acclaimed" as his best work, and listed as "one of the best movies ever". Why, I'm not sure, but there you have the differing opinions of multitudes. I was far less than impressed with it and still don't see where all the hype and sensationalism comes from. Watch this one only if you're like me and want to know what all the hype is about. Frankly, I don't understand the title (even after watching the movie, the title still makes absolutely no sense) and still don't understand the hype. Be forewarned, however: This is NOT a zombie movie; I wouldn't even call it "horror". It's a murder mystery with some different angles, but not much else. Very disappointing.
