It's honestly decent-ish. Lots of very cheesy lines (I think the acting isn't bad at all, just wish the characters weren't such overused stereotypes), there's even a guy who quite literally
_Nopes_ out of a confrontation
... so, meh. Visuals are quite good, thought some of the CGI outside spaceship sequences could have done with a bit more budget, but I'm guessing they spent it all on the ending. Just wish they had used more of the monsters and weapons we all know so well. Also forewarning, it's kinda bad at the beginning but gets progressively better as it comes closer to the source material. The
blue zombies
from the very start almost made me not want to finish the movie.

Just keep in mind this is NOT a big budget movie, I went in expecting an officially licenced AAA film, but it's more of a straight to DVD type.

Since they decided to do a reboot of the movie, they did fuck up a few key things:
1. Doomslayer is now Doomslayerette.
2. There is no Spiderdemon battle at the end.
If you want Doom experience, just go and play the games, more action, more demons and even Hell and Earth together, even Mars. You won't regret with the games. Now, I'm gonna wash my memory with proper Dooming. See ya there!

I thought the end would be better than that... As expected, we get to see another "place". But that is it. The end doesn't let you imagine that somebody would follow this up.
The "everyone dies and only a couple are left alive" has to be expected too but I didn't hahahaha. I'm surprised I didn't see some things coming lol.

So overall I liked it. The aliens look goood, handsome !
If there is a follow up, I'll be surprised and WILL watch it just to see what happens but lol Seeing the end leaves few options.

Although a low-budget sequel, this was an enjoyable watch. The movies starts a bit awkward with cheesy dialogue. However, once the action starts, it picks up the pass and keeps delivering.

**DOOM**: Annihilation gets a pretty bad rating here. I have to say that the second movie was much closer to the games of that time than the first movie. Overall, I expected a similar level to that of the first film. In this respect, my expectations were exceeded. I enjoyed it.

Direct-to-video trash, Doom: Annihilation is a cheesy, low-budget reboot based on the popular video game. When a group of marines are sent to a secret base on the Martian moon Phobos they discover that the scientists there have unleashed a murderous creature that has turned on them. None of the acting is any good and special effects look cheap as hell. And the sets aren’t any better. A film that no one asked for, Doom: Annihilation is a pathetic attempt to relaunch the franchise.

Mix of Doom and Aliens, sometimes dark so that the low budget is not noticeable, but a lot of action, many nods to the game and all the weapons come out. It's better than 2005

One of the greatest video game adaptatiions of all time...is not something you would hear somebody saying about this film. Its not Uwe Boll bad but it certainly lacks the excitement that the actual video games themselves offer.

Considering the fact that this is a Direct-to Video movie, done without the direct involvement of Bethesda/ID Software, I think that it succeed perfectly it's mission: Offering a movie set in the Doom universe without being as a movie telling the story seen in video games.
Now, I must say that while I do consider Doom as one of the most important franchise in video games history, I didn't play much of it so maybe I didn't notice something that true fans with knowledge of the Doom lore would instantanely spot as problematic, but I will repeat myself: this movie wasn't made with the help of Bethesda or ID Software.

Really, my biggest annoyance is that the main character created for this movie is one syllable away from having the same name as Joanna Dark, the main protagonist of another popular FPS video game franchise, Perfect Dark, owned by Rare (Microsoft) ... I mean, if you are going to create a movie based on a FPS franchise with a new main character, the least you can do is not use a name similar to another main character from another FPS franchise...

What can you say about this movie? At first, I could excuse the bad acting due to all the nods to the game. It’s kind of fun to see all the game pieces in the movie. That loses it’s fun factor after about 15 minutes. The rest of the movie is repetitive and boring. It culminates in a predictable and lame ending. I hope they let sleeping dogs lie. :asterisk_symbol:I say this as a big fan of the original Doom movie.

I need a movie with the space marines, Doomguy, and a whole lot of BFG.

This is yet another half hearted attempt to bring the Doom franchise to a movie, and while it's watchable, has some decent CGI, and alright acting, the script was lackluster. They could have done plenty more to bring the gory off the walls franchise we love to the big screen, and I hope that one day we get the movie Doom deserves.

They've tried a few times to bring this popular arcade game to life and it sadly fails, this try is OK nothing more it's a bit long winded at times and to quick in other aspects of the movie the opening at the end leaves it open for a return for dark and what's left of her squad, I tried to enjoy it but it had so much potential but sadly it lacks
