Since I came across the concept and first look for this show, I was excited, it looked like a fresh take on this kind of series. The complete opposite of the feelings the _Imaginary Mary_ first look trailer (and eventual series) gave me. But unfortunaly, the only thing this show offered and taught me, is that I absolutely despise the word **"like"**.

Barely made it through the first episode. For one, Nan's boss is an insufferable man child, but mostly Martin the dog comes across as super creepy and abusive. He talks about having to 'dominate' Nan by destroying everything she loves. If he was voiced by a child having a tantrum then maybe that would make sense, but seeing as he's voiced by an adult man it just makes it seem like Nan is unwittingly living with a serial killer. The premise seemed fun, but characterising an adorable dog as an egomaniacal tyrant ruins it.

Once you start hearing the word "like", you cannot stop hearing the word "like". Like, all the time. They ruined what is supposed to be a lovely and adorable creature, making the dog sound like a pretentious unbearable douchebag. I blame the voice actor for it, since it's clear that the dog is not meant to be a pretentious unbearable douchebag (maybe just slightly psycho, neurotic and self-obsessed). I only gave it a 6 because dogs are cute and it's adorable to watch them if you mute the sound. I won't be around for season two. Hopefully, there won't be a season two.

I like the perspective of the dog view, and how something seen as small or insignificant for us humans is seen as shocking and world changing for a dog.
