Add it to the list of great football and sports movies. It was actually honored to be chosen to be on the Black List (a good thing). Oddly, some football fans hate it. not me, lol. I make it my yearly movie to watch on Draft Day.

I'm not a football fan and enjoyed this football fairy tale. It's a breezy fun film with great direction and very creative in helping you track the characters that are primarily interacting over the telephone. Worth a viewing even for non-sports fans.

What a great movie for those sport fan geeks who love front office drama with draft picks, trades, ect. Thought it was stressful and fun enough watching the games well, this movie proves that building a roster can be just as fun as it follows the front office staff of the browns (more so the GM) on draft day as they make a series of moves to shift the course of their franchise. The character intimacy with the audience throughout the course of the fictional day makes this movie great and puts you on the edge of your seat.

This movie isn’t great. Quite unrealistic with several plot holes…but it’s a guilty pleasure. I’ll watch this every year without remorse. If you’re a fan of the NFL Draft you should check it out too!

Rating: 3/5 - 7.5/10 - Worth Watching

This is like Moneyball for football, but not realistic at all and more for funsies and entertainment. Costner always brings his A-game and you can't help but feel good at the end.

Easily watchable and entertaining enough despite its flaws. I watched it on a 4 hour flight and it helped to pass the time well enough.

If we assume the money printers behind the NFL saw Moneyball and thought "hey, we should totally do that too," this is almost precisely how I'd picture the end result. Polished and slick, loaded with team insignias and familiar Sunday morning fringe-dwellers, and superficially authentic at best.

Behind the glamour is a hollow pantomime, stuffed with eyeball-rolling character moments and bland dialog, completely missing the points that made MLB's effort click. It does manage to get some things right - the frequent nods at league history are interesting, and the production values are dazzlingly first-rate - but it all feels so pre-approved and chest-puffing that I had a hard time buying it as more than just a long-form bit of promo fluffer.

Kevin Costner, at his most washed-up and wooden, doesn't do anything to move the bar, and the climax may as well have flashed the words "dynasty" over the Cleveland skyline... subtlety is not its forte. Weak, run-of-the-mill, pandering, brand-friendly fodder.

A good sports movie with barely any sport. as a non-sporter, and a Brit, I know nothing about American football, but this is a decent talky movie with political feels. *it shows how ridiculously overrated sports stuff is.

Absolutely love this movie. Great sports movie that shows a lot of the behind the scenes stuff for Professional Football.
